What is SRIC?

A fast, international challenge for student technology and innovation

SRIC brings together undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students to present AI applications, software, prototypes, research projects, startup ideas and real-world technological solutions. Each selected participant or team will have 5 minutes to present, followed by 2 minutes of jury questions.

Challenge Tracks

Technology first, research included

Projects may focus on technology, research, prototypes or real-world impact. Choose the track that best represents your work.

💡 Technology & Innovation

Software, AI, mobile apps, cloud, cybersecurity, robotics, IoT, digital twins, XR/VR and smart systems.

🔬 Research & Discovery

Undergraduate, master’s and doctoral research, thesis projects, work in progress and interdisciplinary studies.

🛠 Prototype & Demonstration

Functional prototypes, proof-of-concept systems, hardware, software demos and interactive platforms.

🌱 Impact & Sustainability

Solutions for smart cities, tourism, coastal communities, education, health, sustainability and digital inclusion.

How to participate

Simple submission, high visibility

Participants submit a two-page Project Overview and a Project Thumbnail. Accepted projects will be showcased in the SRIC Online Project Gallery and may include optional links such as GitHub, website, video or QR code.

1. Submit

Send your Project Overview and Project Thumbnail by 20 September 2026.

2. Present

Selected projects compete in Huatulco with a 5-minute presentation and 2-minute Q&A.

3. Compete

Outstanding projects receive SRIC Awards of Excellence and official certificates.
